Changing Lives in 2017: Did you know SEICAA adopted the Socks for Seniors stocking drive in 2017?Founded by Care Connection Of Idaho Home Care Services in 2013, the Socks For Seniors Idaho stocking drive is a holiday program SEICAA hosts from November to December. It aims to improve the mental health of local senior citizens with friendly visits and stockings – or socks – filled to the brim with donated goods.Since its inception, over 3,000 senior citizens have benefitted from the Socks for Seniors stocking drive. And, with the generosity and support of its donors, sponsors, and volunteers, the stocking drive grows each year. Just last year, SEICAA gifted a record-breaking 856 stockings to seniors in Pocatello and Chubbuck. The stocking drive’s popularity has further inspired sister drives in Power County and Bear Lake County!Though the Socks for Seniors stocking drive is most active during the holidays, SEICAA always accepts donations for it. Stockings, gloves, hats, scarves, heat packs, and more are all accepted. If you’re interested in supporting this year’s stocking drive, call us at (208) 232-1114 or e-mail socksforseniors@seicaa.org. We want to thank United Way of Southeastern Idaho (UWSEI) and their Women United SEI group for donating Birthday Cake Kits to us yesterday! The kits were made possible by the Highland Stake LDS Primary, who responded to UWSEI’s JustServe campaign. The kits contain a birthday bag, cake mix, frosting, candle, a cake pan, and balloons. If you or someone you know needs a little help celebrating a special day, let us know! Call (208) 232-1114 or e-mail communityservices@seicaa.org for more information.#helpingpeople #changinglives #communityaction #liveunited #powerfulpartnerships #birthday ... See MoreSee Less
